FERTILITY
When you are trying to get pregnant it’s easy to get very stressed. It’s an important event in your life. However, the stress and anxiety around trying to conceive can create an environment in your body that isn’t conducive to having a baby. It’s a vicious cycle.
When the body is under stress or anxiety levels are high, a hormonal imbalance is caused in the body. As well as affecting mood and energy, this can have implications on a woman’s fertility, and create difficulties in conceiving. Stress hormones affect the hypothalamus, pituitary glands and reproductive organs and research has shown that any kind of psychological distress can impair fertility and make getting pregnant difficult.
